I play guitar (Floyd, Beatles, Zeppelin), and read/write a lot. I mainly write sci-fi or Lovecraft-style horror. I've been reading the Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin lately. It's an awesome series.
Apart from those things, I spend most of my time working on my plans to destroy everyone and everything college stuff and Space Ruckus.

20-25kg if it's any good. A friend of mine made one the real medieval way - each individual ring riveted close, to avoid penetration... about two years in the making.

Yep, we had one of those on one occassion. Everyone garbed 12th century, and here comes a Confed man, including rifle... our bard stopped playing his harp, looked at the man in askance and said, "you're on the wrong holodeck, mister"... ;D

The man then gazed up at the castle, and said, "I should call in my company, so that be could lay siege on this castle". I replied, "there's a merchant up there selling fine crossbows. I wouldn't be sure whether a Springfield uphill and a crossbow downhill makes that much of a difference." ;D

We had quite a laugh, both sides. :D

I've worn such chainmails in a few occasions. Not only does it make one's shoulders really hurt after a few hours of wear, it also generates quite a stench because of the sweating in such armor that doesn't let air flow through it freely. I pity the medieval warriors who actually had to wear those things, really. :D

Apart from my phd if I ever get to have time, I work out (bike, running, some weights...) and I spend nearly all of my time playing guitar.. mostly hard rock and a little metal music.. I and my brother are recording cover songs and I write very stupid lyrics in turkish (which is my native language eheh), and it is great fun, it is both time wasting and relaxing (cannot tell you how I feel when Im playing guitar I think it pumps seratonin into my brain, ohh nothing like sweet seratonin rush on a clear saturday afternon..), anyways...

I also like to hang out with friends.. Other than that if I get really bored I read about politics, history and foreign countries.. Yeah, thats all I guess.
