Well with spam these days I dunno...It could be a very legit e-mail from a person who has confused your profile from somewhere where you've posted your e-mail address or it's something from some hacker who's pissed off at the spam filter on your e-mail account. Best move is to ignore it.

Well, I kind of got used to that spam by now (especially those mails "Someone who saw your pic wants to meet you, but is afraid to give out her data. Download our access software and see her profile"). But now, I often get spammed through the Windows Network Messaging. A window with an "OK" button appears and tells you that your computer is not secure or so, and when you click okay, it redirects you to a pay site. I know I could switch it off, but although it is annoying, it is sometimes funny as well ::).

Yeah those often appear as pop ups on some big name public internet sites. I once had the misfortune to stumble on an unreliable site which was littered with pop ups and that message was among them. It's like dirty home security system companies, they try to scare you by staging a mock robbery so you will buy one of their products that will allow them to go through your personal affairs. Corporate parasites such as those are worse than people who openly bully you into giving them money.

I think a lot of people would be fooled by this. Unfortunately, like viruses, spam is getting smarter :-\
