does anyone know how it is to fix the darned thing?

REMEBER it will only move left and right on the screen and not up and down...

BTW: is this big enough for you? ;D

That doesn't appear to have too many "repairable" parts. I would check the cable that connects the two pieces you have seperated. Other than that, I doubt there is too much you could do from the inside. Of course, and I'm sure you have already done this, clean out the actual ball portion of the mouse(or is it touchpad?) That is kind of a problem with laptops, unless if you REALLY know what your doing you can't do much to fix things like that. Everything is packed in so tight that in most cases people just replace things. I would still go with saving your nickles and buying a seperate mouse.

Too bad it's got four pins instead of a PS/2 port or SCSI or USB or something normal. As far as where to get another: EBAY!!!

Anyway, you don't need that stupid, old track ball, do ya? We didn't have mouses for YEARS, and I've had a computer since I was three. Bah, fooey. You can even use Windows without the mouse (But only if you like wearing out your Tab key :D).
