There is nothing wrong with using an editor. If you want a cool editor E-mail me at
[email protected] and I will reply sending you FREE HTML Gate the best html editor in the world (For free that is.). I personaly like DreamWeaver and I use it But I teach using Free HTML GATE and It is lovely. <a href="http://www.duvallclan.com">My Site - V.P. ZOS seriously stop trolling peoples threads and trying to take there code..I have seen you in almost every thread I have viewed today.
Anywho back to the topic. Cool "HTML OS" I like it. I will check your real os out later for some reason the server is going REAL slow and I'm on a 3MB DSL line so it's not my end...>_> anywho good luck

Great job, a few things, though:
Always test your code on Firefox for ultimate browser compatibility. Never consider what IE thinks of your code as anything other than noise.
Also, it seems people here aren't too smart... best to find a DHTML forum. I myself prefer XHTML and Javascript DOM (which I believe is DHTML, but without any IE support).
That's my two cents.

WOS was only a crazy idea i got when i was working on a drag and drop script for my job
I know there is some incompatibilities with firefox (ghost iframes) but this is not because of code incompatibilities, it's a little problem in firefox (the same problem exists with TinyMCE when used in mambo)

A long time ago (~4 years) I created a web-based 'OS' of sorts all in Javascript/HTML with movable/shrinkable windows that when activated would come to the top.. I had a 'notepad' and a calculator along with a pseudo-taskbar on the bottom and such.
it was pretty fun.
