Yes, it is in fact the same MUMPS. But that is only the viewpoint of a bitter former employee of a company. It is no worse syntactically than PERL. It all depends on maintaining proper coding practices, which employees at that company, programmers neglected to do.

I kinda like the looks of MUMPS better than Perl...
