The best text color that goes well with a black background is gray: #808080 or #C0C0C0.
White on black is too strong. And don't even get me started about black on white.

I agree, the colors also look nice reversed.

Problems with the site
- I don't live in the us so, this has nothing to do with me.
The content sucks.
the layout felt cramped, felt like lashing out after viewing the first page.
The colors worked well, but failed to express the actual content subject.
