Rap/Grime/Hip-hop... plus its nice if you get someone who can sing in the chorus, as it mellows the tone a bit.

good rap pwnz.

i prefer

Post by com1 »

i prefer real music :) Phantom of the Opera, some chamber pop, lots of Classical (especially Handel). using the fantastic usages of trigonometry and phi, much of classical music has been proven mathematically to be 'true music', creating order and harmony (sinosoidal functions) in those that play and listen too it. Much of metal and rock on the other hand...

Middle C: y = sin 2(512t) + 0.2 sin 2(1024t) + 0.25 sin 2(1536t) + 0.1 sin 2(2048t) + 0.1 sin 2(2560t)

So basically if we all got together in a theoretical osdev meet, we would never be able to all agree on the music to play

Sad but true.

I'm not really picky on the kind of music, among all styles there are things that I like (from house to strauss, literally :D). The one thing I do dislike is music that sounds like random hitting at an instrument. (which made some people think I hated guitars - guess what, I like Guitar Hero 8))

The more serious problem would be where we should meet. I don't think we could agree on that.

If we would average the locations we'd probably end up at a place where its a nice warm 6000 degrees

But if you want an OS Dev convention, feel free to organize one. In the meantime I'll put up the lion king soundtrack

localized convention

Post by com1 »

if we were going to meet somewhere (hehe), i would recommend doing 'localized' conventions, since we probably have developers as far as Tahiti across to Brisbane. Maybe three or four in the US, one in AU, and 2 in Asia and Europe. as for all you islanders out there, build a canoe and come to one
