The Question Game
Re:The Question Game
H2G2 is a wholly remarkable book indeed
But I still think it worked best as a radio series (and I know I'm not alone in this).

Re:The Question Game
You can buy A Trilogy in Five Parts or The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide off of Amazon. Both consist of the five books, but the latter also contains the short story Young Zaphod Plays It Safe.
The first two Phases of the radio series (from 1978 and 1980) can be found here.
Edit: Almost forgot: you can play (the updated, fully illustrated version of) the text-based adventure game by Infocom on the BBC web site.

Re:The Question Game
I'd be happy to lock it while it's still fun, but I ain't moderator in this corner of the forum.Neo wrote: Lock this thread now or after another 100?
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.
Re:The Question Game
I seem to be able to lock it, but should i?
Lock it or Not Lock it?
Lock it or Not Lock it?
Re:The Question Game
Why bother? It's not like anything offensive has been said. If people are sick of this thread, they can just ignore it. If everyone's tired of it, it'll go down the page by itself.
Just my 2? of course.

@ ToraOS:
No, you can't lock it, and if you can, you should notify df that you can, since that would mean the board's permission system is broken.
@ all:
I really don't want to spoil the fun, but df (who is hosting this board) has expressed concern about the size of it, and I'd rather we push the limit of it with discussions about Sierra games, OS development, and the real life.

The thread's original poster can lock the thread, I would assume this feature could be disabled though.Solar wrote:No, you can't lock it, and if you can, you should notify df that you can, since that would mean the board's permission system is broken.
Re:The Question Game
If that's the case people should be doubly ashamed to waste bandwidth this way.Neo wrote: Frankly I think it was started to increase post counts
Didn't know that about thread starters. Started pretty few threads myself and been moderator for too long already.

Re:The Question Game
Not that it really matters, seeing as the board takes about a GB of bandwidth a week, this thread is only a very tiny part of it.
Re:The Question Game
On the other hand, longer threads are already present on the forum. Have seen one with 6 pages (150+ replies) in OSdev, so this one should be no problem until it grows by at least 40 replies.
To continue the game, Visual Studio (any) or Borland Builder (any) ? If you'd have to choose?

United Airlines or American Airlines? if they both had the same exact fares and the same exact flights.
