Then how do you explain the moving trend away from Rock to dance/pop/"R'n''B"/Really bad Hip Hop? I find it does affect the style though. You can always tell English Rock from German Rock, or most uniquely, Japanese Rock.Combuster wrote:I once read an interesting article on how language affects music. Maybe rock is the logical result of the English language...

Someone else who likes Deicide! This is the first time I've ran across a Deicide fan in 10 years.bughunter wrote:Favorite bands: Deicide
Top three reasons why my OS project died:
- Too much overtime at work
- Got married
- My brain got stuck in an infinite loop while trying to design the memory manager
I like Deicide... just conisder them nothing compared to Opeth. Either of you like Dying Fetus? They are incredibly extreme but about as technical as it gets.Colonel Kernel wrote:Someone else who likes Deicide! odd
I guess I'm the odd one out here..
I like club (as in dance and rave), hip hop, and some R&B. Not too much into metal or rock but do like a few songs here and there, like a couple ACDC songs and Metallica but only after a few beers.
Guess I'm into the dance mostly because I like going clubbing. The dance is also really fun when whipping down the highway at 110mph. Done that a few times this month just to get some adrenaline going.

Haven't heard of either of them, but then again I've mellowed out a lot in the last decade.Tyler wrote:I like Deicide... just conisder them nothing compared to Opeth. Either of you like Dying Fetus? I do listen to Cannibal Corpse occasionally, though.

Favourite bands: None in particular
Favourite genres: Trance, Goa + Psy, Chillout
I tend to be another odd one out. Yet to find anyone in RL who likes my odd selection of music.

I don't see what is not creative about those names? Just because you don't like the theme. I like to listen to music that expresses more than a single emotion, the aggression of Death Metal can be incredibly enjoyable at times. Opeth on the other hand just hand you the entire spectrum from Classical Piano Music all the way up to the most beautfiul Death Grunts.Alboin wrote:Cannibal Corpse? Dying Fetus? Such...err...'interesting' names....Why don't any of these bands have happy names? Maybe they should be more creative in their naming...
