After another day of debugging why my 'OS' runs on bochs, qemu, my amd x2 and not on intel core 2 duo. I found out that i initialised the bss segment wrong well not at all ... doh. talk about being a dumb f**k..

sorry for the lame post.. but i have to vent something

oh.. oops.. sorry i forgot to mention that i already fixed the issue by initialising the bss segment to zero. Now the values that i initilaised to zero are actually zero instead of some unknown value. Wierdly enough only the intel core 2 duo had problems but i'm sure it is more related to the system then to the processor.
