Trying to figure out the sources for the Atari emulator Z26, and the SNES emulator ZSNES, it's not easy to understand the specifications being applied or the programming methods used for threads, etc.
Looking for the platform specifications in Google there seems to be a good deal for Atari, but it's more scarce and hard to utilize for each and every platform of Nintendo, SNES, NES, GBA, etc...
It's possible owners of such projects have an answer (and the time) to share what they have used for their software, either through e-mail or in their online discussion boards.

Have you not searched Google at all? There are docs out there. I've done some emulator stuff before, and the best site , by far, is Zophar's Domain. (Zophar being an evil character from the Lunar series.) Try the tech doc part. Or just go here
PS: Zophar's Domain doesn't contain any illegal Roms, or the like. (Except their sound files.....but nonetheless.) So don't worry mods.
