They are showing up for me just fine. ???

What browser are you using, what version is it, and what url are you using to access the forums?

I'm using IE version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158.

The url I use: http://www.mega-tokyo.com/forum/

All smiley seem to be replaced with "." (periods). And refreshing the page gives me the same results.

edit: I've attached a .gif, I think your last post had a smiley not sure, and the period seems to be a finer point :|

For me some smileys show up correctly but not others. I'm using WinXP SP2 w/tweaked Firefox 1.5.0.2. Here's what the smilies look like lined up in the Add Smilies row when composing a post. I think I may have animating turned off but I don't remember since if I did, it was a while ago.

In regards to blip, all the ones you showed me that are messed up are the animated ones. Turn on animation to fix those.

As for Ryu, is there some way you could show me what it looks like? Maybe use photobucket or something?

Also try accessing the image for the smilies directly and see if they load. This is the winking one: http://www.mega-tokyo.com/forum/YaBBImages/wink.gif

Go to that url and see if that one shows up for you.

Heres a picture: http://69.194.132.218/smiley.gif

You can see that its a dot smaller then a period.. and I can see that wink. I can see all the smileys when I'm posting but somehow I can't when reading posts (specifically within post but appears on the left of subject, and appears left side of topic of each thread too).

I do have animated on. Everything was fine about a day or two ago and I don't recall changing any settings. I think it was yesterday this just happend. Hmmm.

edit: Btw. It happends to be a yellow dot when I zoomed closer heh heh.

Started happening for me yesterday too...

If you view source, you see all the embedded images have width="" and height="".

Also running IE...

Same here.
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

Maybe Microsoft patched it, and now it thinks width/height="" means 0 pixels or something.

I checked the HTML specs at W3C. I didn't really find anything about leaving width or height values empty being actually defined. In fact Internet Explorer uses 1 for these two undefined values.
