What's the 286's segment size?

Post by eekee »

Can the 286 have segments larger than 64KB? I'm thinking of starting a new project with smaller goals, a simple OS in assmbler, and I'm trying to decide between BIOS PC which I know well, and Nintendo DS. The DS has 4MB of flat memory space, it's quite a difference! :) (I don't fancy >=386 protected mode.)
