Hi all ...
A few monthes ago, Solar asked if people on this board would be attending BreakPoint 06 (the german demoscene event) and quite quickly both candy and i were interested. I even managed to have my fairy agreeing and i even think she was truly happy for me ... but unfortunately, health conditions won't let me come. Don't worry: even in "broken pype" mode, what i call "health conditions" isn't that bad, but just preniciously sustaining a level of toxins that makes me unable to stay restless for 2 days in a smoky environment.
Cheers. I hope we could arrange that "meeting of MT osdevers" another time.

If needs be, I'll come pick you up at some day to go wherever this meeting might be. Anyway, get well soon & keep us up to date...Pype.Clicker wrote: Cheers. I hope we could arrange that "meeting of MT osdevers" another time.
Solar, I think I'll come anyway.

Just one thing... smoking is prohibited in the Main Hall at Breakpoint. The rule isn't 100% adhered-to, but it ain't a "smoky environment" either. Just to give you a second chance to say "no".
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

Oh no, as a non-smoker I can't have it that I can't smoke. That's limiting my freedom!Solar wrote: Just one thing... smoking is prohibited in the Main Hall at Breakpoint. The rule isn't 100% adhered-to, but it ain't a "smoky environment" either. Just to give you a second chance to say "no".
Was having second thoughts on some things concerning going there... still, would kind of really like to come, meet DevL, you and some other smart people...
As a PS, I've been working on porting PDClib to AtlantisOS . You're making the examples very posix-centric...
Re:won't be at breakpoint '06
Yes, as my testbed is Linux, POSIX is the only stuff I can test on-the-fly. And while PDCLib is pre-alpha, I don't worry that much about the quality of the examples, more about how to get printf() implemented or how to do multibyte support. The 1.0 release will provide platform overlays for Windows, Linux, and AmigaOS 68k at the very least, which should make for a good example reference.
