All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

Hmm... it seems as if the mods of the "General" board aren't present as frequently as those of the other board areas... or spam like this wouldn't linger as long as it does.

I know that it's bad style to ask for moderator rights, but... if you need help with cleaning up this board, I'd volunteer.

@solar: you don't feel you've already have enough under your belt with moderating the three programming fora, do you? *fg*

Forget me. I don't have the time nor the hankering for that job. Honestly.

Ah, OK - EST explains some things. ;) Just holler if you need someone in MET, there's more than enough of us to do the night shift. ;)

*cough* *applies for US-graveyard shift*

On the other hand, it's still the low-traffic offtopic forum. The rest isn't being spammed.

Interestingly enough, most of the spam on the FAQ shows up in the middle of my work day, Pacific time. Perhaps there is some correlation between the location of spammers and their preferred targets (wiki vs. forums). ;)
Top three reasons why my OS project died:
  1. Too much overtime at work
  2. Got married
  3. My brain got stuck in an infinite loop while trying to design the memory manager
Don't let this happen to you!

Heyyy, I'm on GMT+1, not Pacific Time ;D Anyways, 's no real need for another mod on General/Off-Topic. 't Goes slow enough to be taken care of at the current rate. 's Not like it's a day's work if it doesn't get taken care of within the hour.
