Hello everyone.I'm a fresh man from Beijing in China.Once when I met some problems on OS debugging ,Brendan told me the forum.Thank you ;D
I'm a college student studying in BUAA(Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) who take Pure Math as my major.I' m interested in algebra(such as abstract algebra etc.)and also be immersed in all things underlayer(OS dev etc.) and artificial intelligence. :o Well though I've been the forum for only few days but I found people here very polite and kind.I'd like to make friends with you all. ;D
Cheers!

Well, no need to "make" friends here. If your questions make sense and are friendly, our answers (usually) make sense and are friendly. 8)

About the only way to lose friends here is coming across unfriendly, or ignoring good advice. So, be welcome in the MT family. And I won't even ask you if you come to Breakpoint 2006. ;)
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

Hey, welcome to the forum.
It's name doesn't have a direct connection to Japan, I believe it was named after a comic series.

Yup, Df's been such a big fan of the comic that he named this site after it, causing mass confusion with some people trying to sell stuff in Tokyo ;D

Welcome aboard, have a nice stay, idolize and worship the AGI community and ridiculize and mock the SCI community, and you'll fit right in ;D

*coughs and double-checks for SCI folks being 'round*

Gong xi fa cai!
Top three reasons why my OS project died:
  1. Too much overtime at work
  2. Got married
  3. My brain got stuck in an infinite loop while trying to design the memory manager
Don't let this happen to you!

Hmmm ... and what does that mean? I mean, I have no babel fish in my ear to translate for me.

Besides, @freshman: you'Re welcome. :-) Just be aware of occasional pineapples flying around and baboons chasing them. Not to mention all the cheetahs around here. *gg*

In case you wonder, I've ben in Kr?ger Park. You know, South Africa.

Happy (Chinese) new year. (Babelfish was stumped on this one, but Google was reliable as ever. ;) )

actually its named from the original bubblegum crisis series from the 80's. when i got "mega-tokyo.com" someone had owned "megatokyo.com" for a while but it sat unused for a long time... frmo memory megatokyo.com used to host some old anime jpgs when i first put this site up.

i dont know if there is much confusion over this site and the comic site. both domains are old, the comic is 'new'...

i actually new 'fred' who draws the comic a long time before the comic (he and i are both sazan aisu fans (3x3 eyes))
