Simple, Elegant, and Fast, because at least one of those ("Fast") is measurable.

COM. It might be worse than CORBA, but at least it's better than .NET.

For domains, also .com. You first try .com and then the rest, so if you have the .com it's better.

You could make that harder:

Which of the following acronyms doesn't refer to a compact disc-related system?
a. cdda
b. yellow book
c. ieee1284
d. iso9660

World peace anytime. Pineapples are yucky.

Truffles or rabbit meat?

PS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_Boo ... standards)
PS2: IEEE1284 is a parallel port... :)

c: IEEE 1284 standard describes PC paraller port and related items of importance.

Oh and the wrong answers:

a: stands for "Compact Disk Digital Audio" which is what red book describes
b: yellow book is the first extension of the original red book and describes CD-ROMs
d: ISO 9660 is the "file system" most commonly used on CD-ROMs.

edit: oh crap, candy managed to answer himself while I was writing the above :p
