Mad Max. Mankind nuking ourself into the stone age is more likely than some uber-alien actually looking like a human and being altruistic enough to bear with our stupidity.

Re:The Question Game
Ha - ever watch'd mad max III - Beyond the Thunder Dome? That's one cool flick - not at last just because of Tina Turner. (We don't need another hero ...)
As for your question: chess. That's a nice game for brain training.
Tad Williams (Memory, Sorrow & Thorn) or Christopher Paolini(Inheritance Series)?

How... traditional. Couldn't you at least come up with something imaginative? Like, 1. Kc3?Eero R?nik wrote: 1. e4
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Re:The Question Game
Very well, 1. Nc3 (I assume you did mean the Knight. It would be very original to move the King to c3 in the opening. ). I actually used to use that move often, to then use my Bishop and Knight to checkmate my opponent quite quickly, until most of the people I used to play against started to use that against me. That's why I 1. e4 to give my King some moving space, in case that'd happen.Solar wrote:How... traditional. Couldn't you at least come up with something imaginative? Like, 1. Kc3?

Sorry, yes, I meant the Knight (which is called "Springer" in German - and would be noted as 1. Sc3).Eero R?nik wrote: (I assume you did mean the Knight. It would be very original to move the King to c3 in the opening. ).
I actually used to use that move often because it was rather unusual, confused my opponents and did allow me to survive one or two moves longer than usual (like, 8 to 12 moves on average).I actually used to use that move often, to then use my Bishop and Knight to checkmate my opponent quite quickly, until most of the people I used to play against started to use that against me. Republican, of course - who would choose anything different? ;D
Re:The Question Game
A democrat. But that wasn't a "this-or-that" question, so it's still on you.NotTheCHEAT wrote: Republican, of course - who would choose anything different? ;D

Re:The Question Game
Neither ... I'm Austrian, so what care I about Democrats or Republicans - honestly, such a big country and only two political parties? A shame.
Again my question -- seemed to be outdrawn by that thrilling chess discussion:
Tad Williams or Christopher Paolini?
