The Question Game

The question must be an either/or question. Forinstance Cats or Dogs.

There are no right or wrong answers. You can comment about someone else's answer or question if you wish. you can also comment about your own answer too.

Ill start with an OS Dev related question:

If you are genuinely interested, I personally use GNU As. I don't like Intel syntax.

But you already knew that, because I'm sure you searched the forum to check that we have covered preferred programming tools... like... at least 10 times by now.

Which reminds me.. can the next question be: Which OS do you like more: Unix or Emacs?

Well, I prefer *vim* to emacs and I don't consider emacs an Operating system *rofl* But that's another story.

But Emacs is available for windows and unix, so I daresay, I prefer using it (if at all) on a unix os.

I had not expected to see that answer, uncommented. One of my problems with life is that you have to compromise on your integrity so often in order to be efficient, to the point of dishonesty being expected from you in a business environment. It seems that Calum here doesn't have much problem with that - and I don't know whether to find that applaudable or condemnable.

I'd go "integrity" in a blink if life would allow me that luxury. Focussing on your virtues when someone else doesn't makes you lose in the short run - and our world has changed to cherish the short run only, at the expense of long-term happiness and virtue.

But I think too much.

Stones, as the Beatles're squealing wusses. How could anybody listen to: "She loves me, yeah, yeah, yeah!" and other junk. It's almost as brainless as Britney Spears. Not to mention their godawful citars near their end :-X It simply doesn't mix.

I see what you're saying. I do think that focussing on your virtues and morals is important, but when it comes to the crunch efficiency will get you where you want to go. Integrity is constantly being ripped apart by people better than you, so you can be efficient to please them, but retain your integrity inside yourself.... Dunno if that made sense

David Gilmour, i think.... the one who didn't sound too old during Live8... there was one of them whose voice hadn't standed the test of time, which I think was ROger Waters, but I could be wrong...
