Name of the Game

In what category do the games like football, soccer, basketball, volleyball etc come under? are they just categorized as "team games' or is there some other better name for them?
(this was bugging me for quite some time)

Yeah, I'm almost sure. Because what else can they be. In Soccer, they run and kick the ball, so they do...sports....
