Download counter

All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

You had better read their contract a bit better. There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. And trust me I know this.

It's limited only to how much I physically can transfer with this speed limit I've got (so it's not completely unlimited). It's clearly written down.

Yeah, but it isn't just that. Most hosts that offer "unlimited bandwidth" have a clause in their contract saying that a high use of your site and scripts like bulletin boards will get your site shut down. Unlimited is false, there is a limit, if your site is big and has alot of images/downloads they will most likely shut it down.

I think you are missunderstanding bandwidth. You are limted by a certain amount of GB per month. For instance my site is limited by 10GB per month. I can only transfer 10GB per month, if it goes over that ammount my site goes down for the rest of the month.

You will have some sort of limit on bandwidth which is some sort of clause in the contract and isn't mentioned specifically on their details page. Unlimited bandwidth is a myth, there is always a catch.

No, I mean my ADSL connection. Some of them have limits you know (at least here, and I think it's called bandwidth limit too). About web hosts you're totally right.

Well Rich, you should host your website on freewebs.com .
I use it too, and it has a free counter without ads.
(I hate ads btw ;D )
NOTE: you can't use php :(

It only helps him... all of his members that don't have popup blockers or mozilla will still get them.

Personally I use Firefox as my browser which blocks popups.
