YES! Non creative people never seem to have a hard time finishing things. Since us creative people are always thinking of ideas it's hard to just focus on one! Lately I keep a notebook of all the things I think of. This helps me SOOO VERY much. Later I can look back and remember those normally forgotten ideas and maybe even improve on the idea or decide it was a stupid idea and cross it off. If you try this, you will go through lots of notebooks ;D At least you can always look back through them, like a History button. Sometimes you can add ideas together and this is made possible via the "normally forgotten" ideas
For some reason I seem to get brainstorms right when I get into bed... so I either have to get up and start coding... or go to sleep and usually forget all my ideas. Because of this, I doubt the notebook idea would help me, because I can't write in bed or code for that matter.
Yes, I have the same problem. Thank god I hold a special place in my heart for FQ and the likes of that. My other current projects seem to take on such greater importance... like getting a job so my girlfriend won't dump me.
Hey, do you guys think that if I added a donate paypal button that anyone would give me any money for FQ, FQ2 or the likes... especially if I promised a rapid third game in the series with lots of money coming in? With the hundreds of thousands of people that have downloaded the first FQ game, if even one out of ten people donated a buck, I'd get lots of money!
yeah, but then once the 2nd let alone isnt released, you will have a lot of angry people at your doorstep. expect to be burned alive as soon as you open your door.
anyway, usually when im bored in school i get thinking, and i get some ideas. so just do i wont forget, i rip off a piece of paper, jot down my idea, and stuff it in my pocket. only thing is, sometimes the piece i rip is too small and i never feel it in my pocket and forget about it

Well, Joey, obviously I wouldn't start this campaign until the second one is finished. I could use it as a starting place to ask for donations. What do you think?
I wouldn't expect alot of people to donate. Yeah there are a few people out there who will. But most people will either not have any money to donate, or not want to donate anyway.
I have had my donate banner up on my site for over a year now, and I have only received 1 donation for $5. I know Brian receives alot of donations, but it is most likely due to the fact that people can get a free copy of SCI Studio VGA for it.
So I doubt you would get donations over just 1 simple AGI game. Maybe if you created a VGA version or something, but I doubt it for an AGI game.
So, then what is the difference between that and Brian's site? Don't people have to make a donation to him in order to receive SCI Studio VGA? Or, am I missing something?
The difference is that SCI Studio VGA isn't complete enough to make a VGA game yet. It will be free once it is complete... all they are getting is a taste of what he is working on. Sort of like a beta of it before it's complete.
He isn't going to charge for the final/complete version.
Nah, I don't think it would be worth it to anyone to get an uncomplete FQ game. I wouldn't expect anyone to give even five dollars for a complete one. Sex is free, so why shouldn't sex games be free. (Well, it's free if you know how to go about it that is. )
it all would depend how good the game is. release the 2nd as a kick @$$ game, then put due to lack of time, because of a job, it is holding back time for FQ3 which is the ultimate sex game with the most nudity and it will make you so horny (stretch the story a little ) then say if you wish to make a donation to support the game which will speed up the process...blah blah blah
you could try. dont know how it will do though. you would have to make a really popular web site for it.
No, Joey, I think it's better the way it is. I don't need to make money from these games. I mean, maybe if I made a really high quality FQ game like Space Quest 7, then maybe, but as it stands, I think it's better just as a simple fan game that people worldwide can enjoy for free. That is the AGI way.
Still, when I do get around to FQ3, I will try to make it a much higher quality game. FQ2 is much, much higher quality than FQ1, although still a crappy game compared to most standards. Well, that's life I suppose, or what you get for free.
