Is MESA works only in X or it's provides rendering of all?

That would be the special case when X server and X client are running on the same machine. That's the beauty of the X Window System: Running locally is the special case. I wouldn't shun it, its remote capabilities are a thing of simplistic beauty, something any system can (and should) strife for.

That was the point I was trying to make, actually, but looking at it again I can see I was not clear on the matter. Thanks for pointing out the problem, I should have been more specific in how I said it.

I've added it as Graphics stack, but it will need some wiki magic to make it a workable article. I'll see about doing some later today, but at the moment I am short on time.
