Did we kill agigames.com?

Post by Andrew_Baker »

Some of you may have been having trouble accessing www.agigames.com since this afternoon (CST). I know I have.

So, Chris, did we exceed your bandwidth by fooling around in your chatroom or dl/ul'ing games? Or is there another reason that it has been shut down/temporarily off-line?

Where's the problem?

I made a visit to agigames.com this morning.

Everything's working to me. Maybe the server was
closed for maintenance.

So far for the beginning of this month I have used: 647.88 MB of my bandwidth. I have no idea why it was down, but it was probably just a temporary thing with my server that I am on, since it is up and working now.

I run on a shared server so if someone elses site causes the server to crash my site would and all the other sites hosted on the server go would go down. Of course my server and the eperfect.net server are one and the same, if my site goes down, check eperfect.net out if that site is down too that means the whole server is down... if it isn't down then then the problem is with my site.

It isn't only my site, my host has gone down.

http://eperfect.net

Please read the post that I made right before yours, if eperfect.net is down, there is nothing I can do about it, you have to wait till they are back up again.

I can't hit eperfect.net either...but yet my site is still up? This is kinda scary...I mean, sure me and Chris have seperate servers, so it makes since that one of our sites could be up while the other isn't....But, what's up with the host (eperfect.net) not being there?

eh...

EPerfect isn't perfect.

:( And I just asked a question about AGI on Chris's site last night.

That means that my site and the eperfect.net site are on the same server.
EPerfect isn't perfect.

And I just asked a question about AGI on Chris's site last night.
You shouldn't say that, I hardly ever have problems with my host and you people are freaking out over a tiny bit of down time. And I had already responded to your post there so you can read it when the server is back up.

Announcement: Our main server has experienced massive hardware failure and has been taken offline. We have replaced it with a new server and we are in the process of bringing the accounts back on line.

Inspite our best efforts, it was not possible to fully restore the data on some accounts. If your account is affected, you must follow these steps:

REMOVED since it doesn't concern you.

ePerfect Helpdesk
:'(

My account IS affected, which means I lost all my members, message boards, uploaded games passwords... everything that was in the mysql database... well at least I still have the source code. :-\

Did they ever tell you exactly what this massive hardware failure WAS? BTW: I'm sure everyone can help you with your uploads and content. Maybe you can make your site even better than before!

We can rebuild him... we have the technology...

The six billion dollar site. ::)

Anyway I am way ahead of you on that, I have already begun rebuilding my site. The message board and site are now 100% combined, not just a few features like it used to be. I also have the links stored in the database, and plan to store the games and utils in there as well so that way I can keep track of downloads and such. As well as make it easier for me to admin and control. Of course I don't know how long it will take since I have to write alot of stuff from scratch.

The uploads are going to have to be contributed by everyone because I just don't feel like having to upload them all again.

I also plan to make a new quiz where when you win it automatically puts your name in the list of winners, and also make a link submition form so that people can submit their sites to be put in the links.
