wiki for Bochs project

Post by stlw »

Hey all,

I am searching for wiki host to do wiki pages for Bochs project.
The new Bochs wiki is expected to have better maintained user and developer docs, tutorials about compiling and running Bochs on various hosts and with different guest OS, supported features development status and more.

The sourceforge Allure Wiki for many reasons cannot serve this purpose so I'd like to ask for your recommendation.
The OSDEV wiki looks good to me, also QEMU wiki (even QEMU website done in wiki).
Where and how can I open a new wiki for Bochs ?

Thanks,
Stanislav

One can find a lot of sites that offer free LAMP hosting.
Even I have one, although that's a dedicated physical server, so SLA is rather far from perfect.
So, you can find some hosting and setup wiki there. Or you don't want to setup anything and looking for a ready wiki-site?

Depending on what exactly you're after, QuokForge might be to your liking. It's like SourceForge but run by Quok.

Aside from that, I would recommend getting some web space and running MediaWiki.

Hi,
If you can pay little bit of money. I would suggest on investing on an amazon ec2 instance. If bochs wiki is does not receive as much traffic then you can just use their free tier service ! . Another good option is to use the google app engine. ( see if there are any free app engine wiki that serves the purpose ! - but it is simple to come up with one your own ) .
I used google app engine to conduct a course on software engineering .

Or like others have suggested try a free hosting service.

Also see if tiddly wiki suits your purpose. ( tiddlywiki.com )
