DexOS version 6

Post by bubach »

From the DexOS forums.
Dex wrote:Thats right the latest ver of DexOS ver 6 is released.

New ver has much improved FAT support.
New GUI API's.
New and updated Apps.
Full TCP/IP stack updated .
Cleaned up code.
And a new layout, to make the whole OS fully module.

All source to OS and Apps included.

Now work starts on a full USB stack for DexOS.

Just download the DexOS.zip from web site:
http://www.dex-os.com/

This is a video of old ver (5) run on one of the worlds smallest, x86 PC :

Wow, Dex4u hasn't been here yet!

Any way, I've redone my page and so far only have a couple games up for Dex6

I've got a couple other things in the works.

The DexOS upgrade is great. It's much more functional and opened things up to making lots of fun toys

I'm not sure why. I think it's because he kept posting code in response to people's questions on the OS Development forum without explaining why.
My OS is Perception.

Also because he was a *massive* knob, about *everything*. But mainly the codespamming thing.

Trying to hack the website made his departure permanent.

Trying to hack the website? How could that happen for just posting the codes of an open source OS? He is currently in http://www.hackforums.net

Thats personal opinion and not grounds for banning. Also the "hacking" mentioned was spoofing mod IP's and port scanning the forums with it to counter-ban the mods that started banning him. Not a great idea perhaps, but hardly "hacking" - just payback. ;)

Whatever you call it, it's a justified reason for banning someone, imho. And yeah, the codespamming thing has gone on for a looong time even when I was still a regular visitor.

Then we were fast enough to get rid of all his other vengeful ideas before too many people saw them.

Well, yeah I can understand that banning. That was crossing the line. But to call it hacking is a bit extreme imo. Would probably offend a real hacker.
But I still disagree with the inital banning. There's nothing in the rules about certains ways of helping being better or worse or even forbidden. Thats just personal opinion and childish to be upset about.

You must have missed all the cases of him going on a rage after someone someone demonstrates he was factually wrong? There are enough forum rules to throw at that.
