17:56 < sortie> Paging is called paging because you need to draw it on pages in your notebook to succeed at it.
Re: What's Your Coding Style?
The other problem you have osdnlo is that no other programmers are going to want to be your friend. Nobody likes a person who makes their job (or life) harder than it needs to be. And as demonstrated in other threads, you also lack manners. So let's sum things up here:
- You're rude.
- You make other programmer's lives difficult.
- You consider it your life mission to produce unmaintainable code that works just well enough for you to keep your job for as long as you want it.
- Doing your job badly makes you happy.
Re: What's Your Coding Style?
@gravaera: Yeah, that's what I thought you'd say. You're all talk and worst off you're back stabber. Good riddance you Back Stabber, you Snake in the Grass. Have fun with being the office pariah.
@JackScott: You think because I suggested syntax highlighting minus the @$$ kissing, that I am rude? A thread that was deleted by one of you moderators. And, for what reason I ask? You people love to delete my posts, you love it! I make a suggestion, gone! I leave a reply, gone! So, you want me to kiss your @$$? Please. Don't come talking to me about respect or how I should behave, because you are worthless. All you do is go around complaining about what others say, I never see you offer any help. Why are you even a Moderator? Just stay out of my way dude.

Yes, I see that you have proven it, but my question was, 'How did you know that would work?'.
Re: What's Your Coding Style?
osdnlo: You're being attacked because you don't show any respect for people who have earned their chops working as programmers, offering advice and solutions and just general help for people who need it. You come in like you're the hottest thing on the planet without actually having anything to back that up. You act rude and demanding towards the people who help keep this forum running well and who put in the work to keep it maintained, and then refuse to listen when they try to explain the rules and standards to you.osdnlo wrote:@gravaera: Yeah, that's what I thought you'd say. I know you won't listen and don't care, but when you grow up, try to learn some respect and the ability to listen, would you?

I'm sorry man, It's been a long week.
Yes, I see that you have proven it, but my question was, 'How did you know that would work?'.
Re: What's Your Coding Style?
That's understandable. Here's some advice for you - when you have weeks like that, before you type, just take a minute to re-read your post and see if what you're saying in the post is what you would say to a respected colleague or a friend. If it's not, rethink your post and rewrite it until it is.osdnlo wrote:I'm sorry man, It's been a long week.
It's worked for me before, and it's worth a shot, right?
Re: What's Your Coding Style?
OK, I will try. That's good advice. You're a good guy, thanks man.

The thread with your suggestion wasn't moved. I locked it and moved it away where only moderators can see it. The thread very quickly turned in to a bunch of people flaming you because of the way you made the "suggestion" and your responses in THIS thread.osdnlo wrote:@JackScott: You think because I suggested syntax highlighting minus the @$$ kissing, that I am rude? I've now split away all the off-topic posts and locked this thread as well. I'm not going to move it away though because I think it's the perfect example of why you (and various other people) should NOT behave the way you are (both socially on the forum, and in your so called "professional" programming career).
