Added. Wrong forum section, however.

@Partis : If I may, I'd warn you about the fact that on your website, the header logo ("Partis Computing") and the navigation bar on the left aren't very readable. Especially the navbar, grey on grey gradient is'nt a good idea, and the shadow makes things clearer, but not enough. Maybe outline in black/dark grey, instead of just having a shadow ?

(Don't be offended, no harm meant, it's just a "usability bug report" :) )

Re: [RESOLVED] New Modular OS - Adelian

Hi all

A new update of my OS (0.01.00977) is available at :

http://www.partis.org/mdos/main.php?cmd=Downloads

Lots of internal changes, plus the start of GIF handling. I have chosen GIFs as the bitmap format of choice, as it offers compression (thus smaller image files on floppies et al) plus it is "fun" trying to get it to decompress files correctly! ;-)

As a result, the images on screen (small splash graphic and mouse) look currupt!

Other changes include performance enhancements, minor fixes, additional floppy images etc etc etc.

I have a target of end of August for the addition of basic GUI apps (editor etc).

Much code is already written but until I get some of the other basics running perfectly, the "pretty" stuff is not visible! ;-)

I hope this posting appears in the correct place - and yes, I will correct the colour scheme on my website! ;-)

Cheers

Gary Partis
