I could keep going, but at that point I might as well post screenshots of my Music folder :P

EDIT: Oh, and Queen. Can't forget the Queen.
Pretty much the same here, with the exception of Metallica. I'd like to add Danger Danger, Vixen (female hair metal band), Dokken, Big Country, Joe Satriani (guitarist), Neil Zaza (guitarist), Gotthard, The Scorpions, Shy, Toto, etc... :P

Filk, some selected metal bands, and everything that has an interesting sound - Apocalyptica, Mila Mar, Vivaldi, Corvus Corax, Mystera... whatever I like to listen to at the time, which changes wildly with mood.
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

Hi,

Quite varied really

- Jazz (most types and vintages but particularly Piano Jazz (Duke Ellington, Andre Previn, Nat King Cole), Violin Jazz (Menuhin & Grappelli duets) ) and band stuff, like some of Mancini's work (think of the "Pink Panther" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's".
- Classical / Baroque - too many types to mention, but I think that Bach's St. Matthew Passion is an amazing work when done properly and I always end up coming back to Mozart's Horn Concertos whatever else I've been listening to.
- Jack Johnson, Anastacia, Beach Boys, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Dire Straits, Queen, Madness, Leo Sayer, The Beegees, Status Quo - the list goes on...

Oh - I'm not in to House / Rap / Garage and Electro stuff :)

Cheers,
Adam

Time for a dose of necromancy :-D I was going to post a thread asking exactly the same so I thought instead of polluting with duplicate threads I am resurrecting this one :-D when coding I like to listen to metal, and some other stuff. for example disturbed, slipknot, iron maiden, stone sour, five finger death punch, and other stuff being 30 seconds to mars, infected mushroom, pendulum, and anything I can zone out to and block out outside distraction :-)

'most anything, to be quite honest.
  • Heavy Metal - Disturbed, Bullet for my Valentine, Lamb of God, Aria, Rammstein, etc.
Rap/Hip-hop - Young Kin (personal favorite of the genre), with a few others too
    Classical
Some pop (quite picky about this one though ^^)
Electronic - Kraftwerk is a personal favorite here (Geek Pride!)
    And the list goes on...
But sometimes, I prefer the music my CPU makes under load. Depends what mood I'm in to be honest. I also quite like music in other languages, or that pushes the realms of the norm (Aria, Rammstein, Young Kin, Kraftwerk, etc). I tend to find that certain combinations of language/instrument/genre sound amazing to my ears, but not to many other peoples'. Ah well.

I also find that music sounds a ton better after a break. For instance, now that my 31 day challenge is over, I'm loving my music much more than before. Anyone know why that is?
