robowars ideas

Post by redoktober »

hey guys!
there's a techfest next year in one of the best universities in india, located in bombay.
one of the events is a robowars competition, and here's the link.

http://www.techfest.org/competitions/robowars/

a friend and i really want to take part in this.
we both have been looking for something really challenging to do.
and life has been so stagnant, that before hearing about the techfest, we were actually planning to do something *really* rash.

anyway, now we've found this.
my friend is okay with all things hardware.
i'm okay with all things software.
plus, both of us have roaring imaginations.
:D
can you guys give us some pointers, please?

thanks!

Oh, I remember... Razor was fantastic. Sleek, graceful, full of style (with a "posing move" built in, no less), but extremly "deadly". It was wicked bad luck how Razor lost to Pussycat. I don't think I've ever seen a 'bot in Robot Wars that would have been able to hold its ground against this little machine. (I also don't think any other 'bot ever took out a house robot...)
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.
