Post a shot of your dev environment
Re: Post a shot of your dev environment
I plan to get another PC built. It's not for testing, and I can't post a picture (because it's not built yet). However I plan on running a customized FreeDOS on it.

I just use Notepad2 for writing my OS. I also use Solar Assembler and Virtual PC under Windows 7.

Just some xterms autoarranged by Fluxbox. Bochs used for debugging and testing.
I'm getting a new computer today that is going to have a larger screen than the one on the laptop I'm using now. The new screen does have room for at least 16 xterms.

That text looks really ugly. Does KDE have a subpixel font rendering algorithm like cleartype?RedEagle wrote:[Screenshot]

A screenshot of main system this time. Dual monitor, well, Laptop + external. Totally different resolutions. Windows 3.11 for Workgroups is networked and runs in the visible VM. It's where I do DOS development.
I just noticed when posting this that I have two SYS volume shortcuts on the desktop. Trying to use NetWare volumes on Linux was irritating.

It's been a while, so here's a shot of my dev environment. It's linked for sanity, as it's 1680x1050.
Clicky!
What you don't see in that screenie is that I have another screen, which usually just holds WMP for fast music switches. I also use it for specs and things when I need them.

Show Us Your Desktop
Hello,
As in other many forums, people like to share screenshots of their desktops, then let's do this here to have some fun and also to be interested in the others customizations.
Here is my one:
Remember to put only thumbnails! To make the thread more organized.

Re: Show Us Your Desktop
Thanks to taking that picture I have finally discovered where the hell SCIM went. It went offscreen. Thanks, SCIM, for being charmingly buggy!
I like the ambience of both pictures, though particularly the "half happy half creepy" ambience of the left one.
Many points to anyone identifying the show and character featured in the left pic. Somewhat less for identifying the show which the second pic (and by fact of being a cropped version of the same image, my avatar) is from. (For those wondering, the point distribution is based on the relative popularities )
