I think it still looks stolen from Ubuntu/gnome Clearlooks. Is your OS open source?easion wrote:what about the new theme?
BTW, congratulations! Your OS seems very professional. Having so much apps ported must be great.

I believe the DooM Source code is available freely (that is, for modding purposes and without the original audio library). If you want, Chocolate Doom is an implementation of the original DooM source code using SDL. If you want information on the file format, there are enough editors that will share their source code. Among the '.wad' readers you'll find that XWE (eXtended Wad Editor) and SLumpEd are probably the most popular.MessiahAndrw wrote:Do some research on ray casting (very simple technique used for rendering early one vertical level 3d games) and the Doom file format. You won't have any gameplay or AI, but you'll be able to walk around the doom map and have access to all the Doom map tools and implement your own game on top of that!Troy Martin wrote:Know any that are written in 16-bit assembly?
EDIT: to clarify, I'm looking for a 16-bit assembly DooM, not a 16-bit assembly game of any kind. I'm really a FPS fanatic.
I think the program has died, this version is still very unstable.gzaloprgm wrote:OP, tried your OS in qemu and it works fast, but screen does not get redrawn.
