bwahahahaha.

Yeah, I retract my statement in defense of the claimed accomplishments. My OS can't even print "hello" to the screen in my bootloader (first 512 bytes of the bootsector), that's how stuffed it is. Even then, it doesn't do anything more than just load a kernel image.

There is no possible way to do all of those things that you said in 512 bytes.

Yeah, really, check out my Real mode assembly bare bones tutorial, that fits into 355 bytes, the rest is padding. You could probably fit a few more commands and calls in with bytes to spare! :P

But that's no GUI, web browser, and office package! I must be lacking in the uber-leet lossless data compression department with my switch to 16-bit assembly these days.

EDIT: Not exactly 200 bytes, but we still have 157 bytes for extra crap!

Where did you get that screen shot, that is exactly what it looked like as it was booting! Isn't it amazing just how similar he copied the Windows splash screen by hand. He told me he made it in ms paint, I am impressed! It is kind of like a kick in the pants for Microsoft, because he is saying there once was Windows 95 (the best OS to date), but look, now there is OrangeOS, so move over Microsoft! Like I said, not the best drawing, as you can see his red x's are just so sloppy and look at the font, that is just hideous; however, point taken sir!

Actually, you can place a fully functional OS in the first 512 just by simply using his compiler which compresses the binaries with a ratio somewhere around 10^8:1 ratio but we have seen higher. In fact it is so great that somehow he breaks the laws of mathematics where his binary is actually compressed to a negative byte count from 0 to negative infinity. This not only allows him to place a substantial amount of code in a very small space, but it also permits him to divide by zero; however, his exception handler still checks for the sake of maintaining some sort of normality, but the payload is commented out. Anyway, he pads the file until it is 512 bytes and that is how he places it on the first 512; simple.

He has a manual, I don't know why he won't post it. It would explain it all much better than I do and it is only -30,000,000 pages which again is impressive because it started out as a 3 pager and that also fits in the first 512, with the OS!! Insane!

Anyway, last I heard he was working on creating a new way to interact with the OS called "outeracting", the opposite of interacting. Supposedly, you work with the OS without actually working with the OS! Brilliant!

For some reason, you (and your clone accounts) remind me of King Julien from Madagascar.

Maybe it's the over-the-top attention requirement mixed with the overly-obvious design flaws that you are raving about. :?:

So, negative compression eh?
Must be pretty hard to do without losing important data.

Yeah, that screen-shot was definitely a slap-in-the-face to Microsoft, I'm sure their sights are set on this project... you know, just to make sure they stay on top and don't get surpassed or anything. :^o

I think a mod should look up the IP address of these accounts, compare to other *known* members, and make sure this isn't another member going all Britney Spears or anything. I don't hear a fake British accent or anything yet, so I could be wrong. :D

I like to move it move it...

Ahem - you seem to have missed jake12's blatant sarcasm, I'd have thought it would be visible at a thousand paces but obviously not!

Also, did I miss the part where OrangeOS said all his functionality was in his bootsector?!
