Programing for computers

All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

One should already know programming prior to thinking about OS development. Thus, one cannot learn programming to "get better at making an OS"; one should already know it.

Unless, are you looking for programming tutorials? If so, this should be better posted in the General Programming board.

'wtf' has been quite successful here, in convincing us (me too for a short while) that he is genuinely interested in OS development. Had he just said "OMG WTF HAY GUIZE HOW DO I MAKE OS IN QBASIC" then it'd be an obvious troll. But clearly he has gathered together some of the most... 'lacking' questions that pop up in this forum and blended them into a supertroll.

Hi,

I will not be suprised if this topic ends up locked. You basically refuse to listen to what people tell you. I want to suggest you to go away from this forum for some time and mature (both your programming, but also your attitude). When you come back again you can start by reading the wiki, as it tells you all you need to know.

By the way, I think a link collection is a good idea, but we already know where the wiki is, and we also are capable of using google to search for stuff like the above.

We should move this to general ramblings and make this an image thread!
