You have shown that you do not have the required knowledge.
You have shown that you do not listen to us when we tell you to do something.
You do not even try to make your sentences coherent or understandable.

Once you have gained some more knowledge, and have learned that we need to be able to understand you correctly to help you, then come back.

You broke several rules, but for some reason you can't recognize that. You seem to have trouble dealing with failure, which is a big problem.

He was being insulting because you were being...well, insulting because you weren't listening to people.
I'm not sure about what happened with lollynoob, I guess he decided to clean up his act a bit and the mods let him back.
You need to start listening to people and doing what they say. We aren't trying to stop you from making an OS, you are because you don't have enough motivation.

You weren't asking smart questions even after you were told to. And based on the latest post you've made, you haven't learned.

There is no point in trying to keep asking questions like you have, it wont get you anywhere. Very few of your posts even have questions.

Do what I (and many others) have told you to do.

@mods, can we lock this?

Yes he can be rude, but he also is learning how to program an OS and will listen to advice about how to progress. You on the other hand, are rude, but unlike the former, you do not spend the effort to learn how to program even the most basic of programs, and you refuse to take advice on how to progress.

There is a huge difference there. Being rude is tolerable, but ignorant is not.

Did dex give you permission to use his code?

He's (supposedly) writing a 32-bit protected mode OS in C, whereas Dex's (very good) code is 16-bit real mode asm. I'd wager he has absolutely no clue how to convert the latter to fit the former. Hence why I think he's just trolling us :-)

Do you comprehend the situation? This forum is populated by people who are pretty good programmers. You are taking extremely tiny baby steps, and looking for comments/approval at every alteration.

People here want peers and friends, not students. If you want to use the forum to learn something, you have to ask a well posed question, on a non-trivial topic. If you can't disern what topics are trivial, then you are not yet ready to pose questions.

Go and learn Perl, Python, or Ruby. Get a good understanding of the fundamentals of programming. Then, when you're ready, start learning C, and eventually assembly. The venture requires commitment, and the destination will not be reached overnight. But in my experience, the rewards are worth the trouble, and the sense of accomplishment is undeniable. Please note that this forum isn't geared for beginning programmers, but the odd question may be answered on the "General Programming" board.

As for lollynoob, his actions do not diminish yours. And you lack the knowledge to evaluate his contributions (or anyone else's for that matter) on this forum. Technical forums tend to be meritocracies, and here, people are judged primarily on their abilities as programmers or their potential to become programmers. You have been judged as someone who is trying something out of their league, and not having the humility to admit it. If you feel that you have been mistreated, then I invite you to start your own forum on your own website. That way you can be an admin and decide what constitutes appropriate content.

After you have learned more about programming I invite you to return and determine the validity of my previous statements, as well as the comments others have made.

(BTW, reposting someone else's code without context is really not cool.)
