Post by Alboin »

Hi,

Just a quick show of hands: without looking anything up, do you know what a Segway is?

Let me guess, inflater thinks that there will be more people who don't know what a segway is...
Sorry mate, voted yes...

When I saw this I initially thought someone bumped an old thread, since it has been discussed here a while back.
Sorry inflater, wrong place to make that bet (and of course I voted 'yes') :)

I know what it is, but I can never pull one off well. Only Today Tonight can do that :D

EDIT: Today Tonight is a current affairs program we like bagging out. Ever since the Chaser boys got on board...

EDIT 2: The Chaser boys are... If you don't know who they are, Google them. APEC stunt, hehe :P

EDIT 3: And if you don't know what Google is...

EDIT 4: Back on topic after the previous edits... We are talking about a conversational segway, aren't we?

AFAIK, no. A conversational segue is spelt differently. I think we're talking about a two-wheeled vehicle.

That said, English is so bastardised these days we could be talking about a breed of cats.

Crap.

//EDIT:
In yer face! Now, spit it out: who voted "yes" or "no" for the two-wheeled vehicle? because that was the point of this poll... -> http://forum.osdev.org/viewtopic.php?p=137438#p137438

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segway - "not to be confused with segue".

I'm sure that most of who voted hadn't the electro vehicle in mind. I win! 8) *maniac laughs*

I swear on my cat's grave that I did not look this up.

I believe a segway is a two wheel umm... vehicle that people ride on.. I think they had one in Wierd Al Yankovich's "White & Nerdy" song. Okay, now I'm gonna do a google and see if I was right.

You are correct. Inflater's just trying to rationalize his terrific loss.

Yup.

I seem to recall Good Morning America talking about, and demonstrating, Segways back when they were new a few years ago.
