Blues Piano Anyone?

Post by Alboin »

Anyone here listen to any blues piano?

I'm currently jamming to some Otis Spann.

That piano can just pound those notes. Wow. I always thought the guitar was the master of blues. Poof on me...

Activity in this forum has seemed low and stagnant, so why not lighten the mood? ;)

Have fun,

I like listening to and playing Jazz on the piano and violin (I suppose you should call it a fiddle for jazz!). Some blues kind of appears amongst the jazz recordings I have.

I like the oldies - Art Tatum, Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, George Shearing, I have a good recording of "The Street Where you Live" played by Andre Previn. For the violin, Menuin and Grappelli made some good joint recordings.

Cheers,
Adam
