I've seen a similar post over at guru.com that had to do with created a full webserver OS with all the 'normal' server features such as telnet, http, ftp, etc... and the budget was less than $100 and required the design of a GUI for it as well. Maybe it would be 'mildly' appealing if the budget added on 2 more 0's to the end of that number.
