Pryse, I'm going to keep the following short and simple. (Oh forget it, I bet you won't understand why I'm trying to say)
If anyone here by themselves could make such a totally amazing operating system and sell it for an insane profit, what would make you think we would:
- Hang around in this forum
- Give you the rights to this totally amazing product for free, or even for a few thousand (or million) dollars?
- Or do you think we're some amazing group of system developers who can completely beat and outperform thousands of paid developers who've been working on an OS for many years, and then kindly give out our hard work for free because we're so kind and generous?
- Or do you think we're all part of a vast conspiracy that's trying to discourage OS development so companies like Microsoft can make money?
So you know what? NO.
However, I am willing to sell you a basic 1-2-3 OS Creator for only $19,999.99 USD that your obviously highly skilled development team can work on, if you can prove that you even have that much money, time, or experience to devote to this project. But of course, like "Make Your Own Software", there are only some types of OSes that you can create. PM me for more info.

I think you are more interested in the user-mode programs than the kernel or loader. I have seen some pretty slick desktops from hobbyist developers that do all sorts of very new and exciting things but it isn't due to the OS per say. I mean, yes, the kernel drives the desktop application, etc, but the desktop application is what people tend to buy. You know what I mean? You can have a solid OS with all the bells and whistles, but if your desktop looks like some mspaint hand drawn mess then no one will care how well the kernel performs. So, I see now that you just want a user-mode program that makes the machine do new and cool things like voice commands, etc. Like iRobot, right? With a voice talking back to you confirming your commands, etc. . . close?
Using the MS voice recognition engine I could write this in at least 4 languages, but I don't agree with the direction you are trying to take the modern OS, because I think that technology is too buggy and controlling. I don't want to speak to my computer and I sure as hell don't want it to speak to me. I wouldn't mind seeing a more fluid and interactive desktop, but nothing like a robot. If I am going to build a robot it would use lasers (for spying purposes), fly to specific locations (using GPS), and provide next to real-time audio/visual feedback from anywhere in the world (satellite) and I would sell it to the US military for way more than you could ever afford in one phone call.
Good Luck.

For all things; perfection is, and will always remain, impossible to achieve in practice. However; by striving for perfection we create things that are as perfect as practically possible. Let the pursuit of perfection be our guide.
