There is already something "new" (at least in the minds of the masses). Linux is free, reliable and secure -- and it isn't taking over the world. The market is nowhere near as simple as you believe. The vast majority of people don't know what an OS is, what it does, or that Windows != computing. Microsoft is very, very deeply entrenched in businesses. If it was all as simple as you say, Linux would have stormed the mainstream PC market ages ago. So sorry, and again, I don't wish to be harsh, but you don't know the market. You don't know the tech, you're very quixotic in your belief that we're on the cusp of a big change, and you've thrown some comical salary figures around. If you read up and learn about the industry, everyone will be happy to help! But you're looking at a decade-long project here, even if you could convince developers to work for you, given the state of the market.
