Your were doing ecstasy in 1969? Historically, wouldn't have LSD been more common?

Yah I guess you could say I'm using it, I've tried it.
Jules

P.S. seriously first person?

To Brynet-Inc:
Didn't know that, you learn something new every day...

edit: Its not really a 'product' though, are you actually thinking of starting a company?

Completely unrelated funfact: The name Sphinx-WAP was decided on before I decided what "WAP" meant. I decided on "World Access Project". lolZ

1) This is off topic
2) You do realize your supposed to write your own code?, not just copy and pasted other people's code and fit it together.
3) here are the docs for fat32: http://www.osdever.net/documents/fatgen ... ?the_id=40
I didn't (or haven't yet more like) implement fat32 in my kernel so I won't be able to help you there, but again your looking at to grander things, if you want fat32 support you'll probably want a multi stage bootloader, so you will probably be wanting to figure out how to do that first...
and before you do anything else, I would recommend that you also figure out how to pass into pmode (important if you want to make a good modern OS (not that I'm saying anything about the people who have chosen to write their OS's in real mode, they often have very good reasons for this...)).
edit: addition to point one: make a new thread in the OS development forum.

Well seeing as how I wasn't even born until much later than 1969, that leaves only one other train of thought:

lol.

anyways, I agree with the above poster, don't just copy and paste, get the code working, then alter it until it is COMPLETELY your own code that way you are not discouraged by not getting off the ground and still can learn without just popping in someone elses works.

I know... I followed a couple of tutorials, and got http://www.osdev.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=17147 this... Now I can get into PMode... But I still suck.

well as for implementing SFS, you need to write a harddrive/floppy/etc driver with support for that particular filesystem.
