[TEST REQUEST]IdyllaOS 0.1 Prealpha

Post by milyges »

Hello!
I rewrited my kernel and now i think that is is now stable.
ISO Image: http://ciasny.net/~milyges/idyllaos/idyllaos.iso.bz2
Screenshot: http://idyllaos.org/site/gfx/1211751532_idylla.vssh.png

Short HOWTO:
After booting from cd, init should detect cdrom drive, mount is as /usr and start simple shell. Now you can execute any programs from CD (default applications are in /usr/bin).

Known bugs:
* directory .. wont work if current directory is mount point
* one device can be mount multiplied times
* more than one device can be mount in same directory

Sorry for my english.
Greetings.

Tested under Qemu. It ran fine. The only bug that I noticed was the infamous "backspace over the prompt" bug. Other than that I was unable to break it. :) Nice work.

I seem to get a DNS error when attempting to download the ISO.

It seems to work in bochs fine enough. Nice job. I too couldn't get it to crash. :)
