Hockey

Post by inflater »

Well, I'm not going to post this in the Patlock test requests, but... we lost with Germans at hockey 4:2! WHAT A SHAME! ](*,) ](*,) We lost the just 2nd match!... And all this because the main players, which won the world championship in 2002, weren't playing: Hossa, Demitra, Lašák, Šatan...

We will have a match with Finland, but we surely manured it! ](*,) We were pretty great in hockey, and now this...

Hehe... 8)

I'm no expert at hockey, but I always had the impression of the German national team being rather erratic - on a good day they were able to bring the USSR team to penalties in an international tournament, on a bad day they lose against Switzerland and get relegated to B class.

It's hard to face such a team on one of its good days, because it's "only" the Germans. I feel with you. But excuse me when I celebrate nevertheless.
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

I hope our boys will be much better at Finland. They aren't surely the best from the choice, but if they'll lose, it will be a great shame in the history. Go Slovakia! 8)

Australians are not to bad at field hockey. Were usually within the top 5.

I don't like ice hockey(to slow).

You know, I'm the kind of person who hates to see those little orange dots on the front page, so I read "every" topic in my spare time.

I particularity hate seeing this topic bumped every 4 seconds, sports suck, disagree? go to a sportz forumz or w/e tickles your fancy.

Take care.

I'm sure sport fits in there. You could hardly say the forum is saturated with silly sports topics. If you don't like them, just don't read them. I don't bother reading all the topics on x86 implementation and MMUs, it just doesn't interest me (and I'm another little-yellow-dot hater).

In the first time in history, we'll fight against Slovenia as a last stand in the world championship. We did lose with Finland 3:2 (2:2, 1:0, 0:0), if it weren't for the 2nd third Finland's power play, it would be a draw. And again, the best players from our team were injured. Shame!

We played very good, at the first third's Finland scored 2 points, but quickly after the second one, we responded with 2:1 and later 2:2. In the second third, there was masses of attacking to our net from Finland. Our goalie catched all except one, the score was 3:2. Finland had a power play.

In the 3/3, one Finlander did injury our player Starosta and he was excluded for 5 minutes. Finland didn't in this third even attack to our net, they had much work for defending theirs. :) But unfortunately, their goalie catched all of 14 attacks. I just gazed at the screen how the hell he did that.

But it's all the coach's fault, he organized our team this year, it's a shame that we lost with Germans, now with Finland... omfg. Out with you Å upler!

We won with Slovenia 5:1. That's how it's done, but it's not over yet. We must fight our way to win, since we did lose two matches.

We won the last match with Slovenia, 4:3. No matches for this year, but since we won, we managed to stay in the elite category, so the next championship in 2009 awaits :)

Now the tournament is over, Russia won and I'm happy.

If Canada really wanted to win Nash shouldn't have taken that stupid penalty for delaying the game. Come on... if you're playing against a skilled team like Russia in the 4th period 4 vs 4 it is suicide to take a penalty and to be forced to play 4 vs 3 against their best attackers.

I'm perfectly ok with Finland getting just bronze... we got a medal 3rd year in a row and we got to beat Sweden which is of course Finland's eternal rival in sports. I'm assuming that Slovakia and Czech have the same kind of friend/rival relationship.

Slovakia might not have had the best team possible this year but then again neither did Finland. At least that is what the experts commenting about the games on TV said. In the beginning of the tournament team Finland was pathetic. There is no excuse for not giving it your best when playing in an international tournament. After the shameful game against Norway Teemu Selanne said something like "Sorry people, but for a professional hockey player its hard to be motivated against a team like Norway". Damn I was pissed off when I saw him say this on TV. If he is not motivated then why is he even there?

Luckily Finland has a lot of quality NHL goalies. :) Maybe now that team Finland gets a new Finnish coach we will once again have a good team which takes every match seriously.
