Your best-loved food

Post by inflater »

Just only to see what food do you like at most... :) Well, mine is especially a fried fish fillets with Tartar sauce and mashed potatoes, or a salad consisting of: potatoes (60%), mayonaise, cucumber, tartar sauce, carrot, black pepper, sterilized green peas etc. :) We eat this along with cabbage soup at xmas.

And, with a fried pork schnitzel a beer for good measure is a must. I like also poultry meat, especially "breasts". :)

On the other side, I heavily dislike liver (as a food), boiled onions, parsleys, celery (for example in a soup) and almost any type of cheese. :x Fried, on a pizza, mozzarela, bleh.

I'm a fast food fiend, I live off the stuff... but when I'm actually not in the mood for it, I like pasta, macaroni and tomato juice. (Ground beef if I'm not being lazy.).

You haven't eaten until you've tried that.. 10/10 on the delicious scale. :)

Other then that, Dominos pizza, Arby's.. local chinese place, only like the chicken rolls.

Bout it. ;)

I'm your type Brynet, and to say the truth, I've never eaten a hamburger or steak (raw meat to be precise). Don't call me a alien, there are many fast foods here, but no thankyou. And especially, my tongue complains if it'll find soup at the room temperature. I must have everything warm, and yes, really warm, with exceptions of ice cream, tea, some meat /fishes especially/ and for other side, I don't like warm milk. It must be stone cold from the fridge!

When there's nothing to eat, I'll make a spaghetti with morcadella or ketchup, it's cheap and it'll busy your stomach for a couple of hours.
Or I'll just make some breadrolls with butter and salami or "meat pie" and some tomatoes or green paprika. :) That usually is my breakfast.

I don't eat much healthily and I don't play any kind of sports. BTW for comparision, I'm almost 190 cm long and I weigh almost 80 kilograms. :)

What I like depends on my body that day. But in opposite to you I like boiled onions, celery used as spice, and especial cheese of nearly all kind.
I also like spinach, licorice, grapes, dark Chocolate, baked Camembert with cowberry, tomatoes with mozzarella, raw mett with onions on bread...

Im very sensitive to eggs. If you not cook them 100% for me I often get salmonellae. Not very funny. Therefor I don't eat whole Eggs anymore.

One of my recepies for bolognese:
250 gram minced pork (or pork/beef if you like it more)

200 ml Creme (Schlagsahne)
200 ml heavy sour cream (Schmand)
25 gram tomato paste (Tomatenmark)

spices:
2-3 tablespoon Sugar
some dextrose
Salt
cayenne (pepper)
paprika powder
cumin
chili (not the chili Mix)
oregano
garlic

And of course don't forget the Pasta of you choice!

I hope I translated it correctly. I written some of the German words so somebody else can correct me if I was wrong.
You can use Sugar very good to spice food with flesh.

I prefer mainly junk food. Pizza, sandwiches, sausages and sweet food. There are also many other dishes that I like, but the list is too big to be put in here.

P.S.: Sorry, I just forgot Pasta

My favorite food I think is untranslateable.
Directly translated it would be: "Fake Turtle"
Of course it doesn't really contain turtle.
This was supposed to be a cool signature...

Spaghetti Bolognese, Chinese fried noodles with duck (sharp / spicy), a Schnitzel with fried potatoes, peas, carrots, and sauce bechamel, or a good currywurst with freedom fries and mayonaise. Depending on mood, really. ;-)
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

Well my regular meals aren't my most favorite foods. I occasionally make a meal for tastes, but most commonly its rice+seasonal veggies+meat currently having price reduction.
And of course, pasta when I'm in a hurry, pancakes when I get bored, and pizza when I don't want to cook at all.

Top 3:
1) Curried eggs. Costs me well over an hour to prepare that alone. I occasionally do that for myself, but more commonly when I have people coming over when I think that my regular dinners are a bit too shabby.
2) High tea (the complete edition). Takes even more time, and the good ingredients are hard to come by.
3) "Hete Bliksem" (Hot Lightning). I don't know how to make it, but it includes lots of manual labour and an hour in the oven - my apartment has a gas oven without thermometer making anything of that kind difficult to get right anyway.

I love kentucky fried food... Chicken, mainly :D

But more healthy stuff includes Indian curries, pizza, spaghetti or pasta dishes, and almost anything Thai (Thai food rocks - and I have actually been there, so don't you go telling me I'm mistaken).

Breakfast:
I usually just have 4 weetbix with milk, but I rather like thick toast with smoked salmon, hollandaise sauce, scrambled eggs and spinach. Mushrooms optional, but much appreciated. A properly brewed pot of English Breakfast tea is a must (I take it with milk, no sugar).

Morning Tea:
Depends on the mood. Sometimes I just crave sugar, so I buy a vanilla slice from the local takeaway near work. They're very nice. When I'm at home, I usually just eat fruit and museli bars, but my favourite is another pot of tea and a couple of sweet biscuits. That'll hold me over to lunch.

Lunch:
"Medium McChicken Meal. Coke alright the drink? Yes, Coke. No cash out. Here's your drink, the meal will just be a minute. Thanks." is what I usually eat for lunch, but I much prefer to sit down to a toasted sandwich containing either Vegemite (Australian yeast-based spread), Cheese and Pepper; or Tuna, Cheese, and Pepper. Another pot of tea is nice.

Afternoon Tea:
As mentioned in one of the James Bond films, Afternoon tea is the best thing the English people ever did for the civilised word. I completely agree. If I have the time, I love nothing better than to sit down and eat scones with whipped cream and homemade raspberry jam. If anybody is interested, I have a really good recipe for scones that involves using lemonade and cream as key ingredients. :) Served, of course, with another pot of tea.

Dinner:
I'm a sucker for Fettucine Carbonara (pasta with bacon and an egg sauce). I have it at basically every restaurant I go to. Living where I do, I also have access to very nice beef. So a fillet steak is good too (though far too expensive to eat every day, unfortunately). In terms of every day food, it's usually just the same as Combuster: whatever meat is on special + rice/potato + vegies.

After dinner:
A pot of tea. I usually try something different. At the moment I'm into Chai tea.
