The best text color that goes well with a black background is gray: #808080 or #C0C0C0.

White on black is too strong. And don't even get me started about black on white.

Problems with the site

I don't live in the us so, this has nothing to do with me.
The content sucks.
the layout felt cramped, felt like lashing out after viewing the first page.
The colors worked well, but failed to express the actual content subject.

2) What do you find funny? Suggestions?

There are just so many ways in which you can say how much they FAIL.
