I haven't been using a server for quite some time, ive just been using a share on my XP box for my in-house network, but recently I decided to re-setup a server out of a P4 3.2ghz computer that was kicking around.
today I installed Ubuntu 7.04 (currently downloading the update to 7.10) and have already configured SSH2 (soon to support proxy-tunneling), Apache2 with SSL3, and am currently configuring my dedicated Counter-Strike: Source server software.
I must say, this was by far the easiest setup I have gone through in a long time with linux setups. I haven't encountered a single big or time consuming issue yet. Hopefully it stays that way after the update is finished. Once this is complete, i might open the address to be used as an encrypted proxy for invited parties only as I probably don't have the resources to open it to everyone.
