Maybe one of us should call him and annoy him (i would, but it'd be a waste of money) or add his phone number to one of those telemarketing lists (but you're in singapore, right?)Philip wrote:seems like united kingdom people treasure privacy too much
In Canada and many other countries for instance, it's a pretty big deal, and so we're trying to legislate a do-not-call list for telemarketers.
P.S.: Whoa, Singapore has 8 digit phone numbers! Do you all share the same country code, and do you have area codes?

just as much as Canadians, I'd assume. ha.
Shouldn't this be in the Announcements/Job requests forum?

Thats common. Australian phone numbers are also 8 digits plus an area code witten like (area) 1234 5678.Philip wrote:P.S.: Whoa, Singapore has 8 digit phone numbers! Do you all share the same country code, and do you have area codes?
Edit: You're not likely to find interested people until you have something tangible to work with. You'd have to make something fairly standout from the common i-folowed-a-tutorial-kernel level most people get to.

Why would a Mod make it sticky? If your chances of getting someone to do this are already low the chance of that person being in Singapore is even lower....whats the point of a sticky thread?can any moderator make this post of mine sticky please........

In canada, it's like in the United States of the USA. 7 numbers but in some regions you need to make the regional code even if your call isn't in a region.
It's not a good idea to give your telephone number on the internet. What you write here continue to exist for years. What would happen if something innocent you write now becomes the next stupid thing they laugh at at fark.com or digg.com or I don't know, in a few years? And they start to call you? Privacy is very legitimate.

Not meaning to detract from your project at all, but probably once or twice a month somebody turns up and wants members for their project. Over 4 or so years of both osdev.org and mega-tokyo.com posts, that's a lot of projects wanting to get members. Do the moderators make all of those sticky as well?
TBH, if your project is a good enough deal, people will buy. One thing you might want to try is to add a "my project" link in your signature, and then go and post informatively on the forum. When people think "hey that guy knows stuff!" they will look at your project. That is how you can attract developers. But note that even the most respected members of this forum still only have 1 or 2 other people working with them, if that.
