PLEASE HELP AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!

Post by kingofkingz »

Ok hi there people, well i have a few questions....
1.) Is it posible to connect a Vcc wire to a Vdd when wiring a usb cable? What happens if i do that?
2.)What is the difference between Vcc And Vdd,well i read something 'bout it,but i dont understand,if it will damage when i connect this two...

And this is why i need to know:
I buyed a USB joystick a few days ago (Xschock USB Joystick) and after 3 or 4 days it stopped working.. and as it happened i tried to find out whats the reason!?I noticed that theres something wrong, cause the outter cable (that protects the inner wires) was broken a little bit down there near to the connector.so i cutted the cable at the half and took another standard USB cable to connect with it.The colors of the wires were not the same so i tried a few combinations: the most likely colors together and so..
I allways recieved the messeage: An USB device connected to the computer has malfunctioned and cannot be recognized.
but when i did a combination like this : Pink wire(from joystick - Vdd) with red wire (from the standard cable- Vcc), Blue wire (Joystick - D-) with green wire from usb cable(again D-),Brown from joystick(D+) with white from cable (D+) and yellow from joystick (GND) with black from cable (GND);then i didnt recieve any message....Whats the problem???
If someone knows answer please,i will be thankfull.....Peace

I'm getting there, but I'm really quite slow.

The fastest I can respond is about 4 months from now. Sorry. Everything else is booked out. I can pencil you in for an appointment at around 5pm tomorrow but it would cost you £200 and all your bloody teeth!

When I buy something that stops working immediately, I normally send it back to the vendor under warranty, rather than taking a mallet to it. Bit strange of me, I know :-s

Now you have invalidated your warranty, you may get help from someone here, but you may be better using a hardware discussion forum. Meanwhile, don't do anything else or you may wreck your usb host controller too..

Cheers,
Adam

Edit: Moved to general ramblings because this really isn't OS development...

Well, huh....lets get to answering your question!!!!!
Because, you see, I have other things to do, but I guess they'll have to wait because your questions are so much more important than anything I do, right? Never have I been more enlightened to these facts! Now I can actually sleep! I thought that my life mattered! That I actually did important things! But now with this title, I realize that, no. I am to try to help people (which keeps me from doing things) quickly so that they can do things while I develop wrist issues!

I tried

\_(o.0)_/

[edit]it's not giving you an error, because there is no power getting through to the USB port to let the computer know that there is something there. [/edit]

the fact that you used such profanity in your previous message does not send signals that you are a fellow OS developer or even a sensible person.

You post in CAPS virtually shouting that you need help and that we must help you, but in essense, using CAPS repels help.

Exactly, I refuse to help you on principle because you are a c0ck, as shown by your post title. Also, why would you expect OS developers to be able to help you splice a USB cable together? I still don't see why you didn't just take it back to the shop... :s

I refuse to answer you question when it's stupidly put.

Dumb idiot answers?
Someone I really respect said, "Ask a dumb question, and you'll get a dumb answer". Same goes for, "ask a question dumbly, and you will get other mad and then they wont answer you".

And I always appreciate being called an idiot from someone who has almost no common sense. This forum is made of people who like to help others and take time out to do so. But if you don't even read the POSTING RULES and related topics (which you obviously haven't, otherwise you'd have a different title) then why should we care?

Freevista's brother?

You should be lucky, these joystick things you can get here are with 350SKK price tag which equals 15$ ;)

I think that's enough bashing for now.

@kingofkingz: read the forum rules or I'll have to agree with the ban
