oh, I wouldna be so restrictive. He's perfectly entitled to choose what ever nick he wants to - and in this case it reflects his superiority over his own code I daresay.

There are no Porn ads on my site. Moreover I use Adbrite and have disabled adult ads.
There are. And this time I have a screenshot to prove it. Please label your post as "Not safe for work".

Image scaled down so it could be attached.

I still can't see them... There's only an ad for Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

Hmm... After 20 site refreshes I don't see any adult ads. Just ads for bitefight or gladiatus, "You are the XYZ winner!" or the "Green card lottery"... ;)

After disabling the Adblock Plus plugin for Firefox, The only adverts that appear are from bmw.ca and some astrology site.

Seriously JamesM, Perhaps it displays things based on previously collected data? ;)

Probably not though, I haven't bought any cars... and I'm not into astrology, but at least it determined I'm in Canada.

Install http://adblockplus.org/en/ and be happy.

I suppose so, but if that were the case given my IP and my work's sysadmins I'm surprised it wasn't showing links to donkey porn...

Just looked on my home box and it's showing ads for "School girl pyjama party". Hmm. Maybe just something about the UK? :S

Must be. I have reloaded that page at least 50 times with none of the ad's being adult in nature. It does seem to have some country specific ads in the loop.

Yeah. The Bitefight thing (wow lookie here, Czech and Slovak translation?) is starting to drive me mad!
(Its a "game" that you will get a http address and you would send it to a friend. When somebody would visit that address, it would display something as "you have been robbed" or "you became a zombie" with "join now to become XYZ". Its all for free and by giving these hyperlinks to others, the company has more money. Cool strategy. :?)

Back to the topic, I've downloaded the magneto 0.1 floppy image and the whole thing halts at the initialization:

Code: Select all

...
timer interval: 100
FLOPPY: _
on the real hardware. On VMware and even Bochs - the same. So much your site for "a place for newbies to start" ? Your OS doesn't even boot up...

Hi everybody!

By the way thanks for tracing my site for porn ads. I am now satisfied that there are no PORN ads on my site. Are you satisfied JamesM ;)

Oh about my nickname, it's bonded with me since when i was 14 :) yeah it's true. Nevermind!

About my OS. I love coding it. I have been back into OS developement after a very long time you can say like 3 yrs or so. I figured out why it's hanging at FDC. I have rectified it and will not trouble in the next release. It's bassically due to non implementation of 0x1C. I have implemented it.

Thanks dude! for a nice comment.

Hi,

I went back to the site (and you're right, the pron ads have gone, thanks for that), downloaded the latest version and it hung at the same place (floppy drive init).

I'm not convinced I actually got an updated version - could you post a link to the newest version? Preferably with floppy image as well as I'm on linux so your make batch file won't work :)

Cheers,

James
