I just switched from vim on the console to gvim. I mostly just did so because it's easier to have tiled windows and my girlfriend can handle Rhythmbox a lot more easily than mpg321. Gvim is pushing the threshold of what I can handle visually in an editor. Of course, I think something's fundamentally broken in my brain. :lol: For school papers, I have to write them in vim or gedit, then format them in OpenOffice. If I actually try to write anything in OpenOffice/Word, I get about three sentences in and get distracted by extra features and/or reconfiguring everything I can for no particular reason.
